October-Jacob Halloween

Jacob has had a blast with his knight costume! We let him wear it before Halloween this year, due to the fact that his kindergarten does not allow the celebration of Halloween. He was pretty disappointed that he would not have a Halloween parade or anything.
Jacob did an amazing job with pumpkin carving this year. He designed the "big" pumpkin and helped cut it out as well!

October-Austin Halloween

Jacob and Austin had a blast for Halloween! They went as a Knight and the dragon he was slaying. Eric took the boys out around the neighborhood and you would have thought Austin had been doing this for years! He remembered to say "trick or treat" and "thank you" at each house!

Transitioning

Jacob has been doing very well with his new schedule. He is truly enjoying kindergarten and has already made a friend who he talks about continuously. Her name is Sydney! The highlight of the past few days has been HOMEWORK! Jacob had some simple homework to work on each night and he's SO excited to have homework, to bad that emotion goes away as you grow older!

Austin also has had a new environment to get used to, he's been promoted from the Buttercup room at Children's Garden to the Forget-Me-Not room. His new teacher, Ms. Bridget is so sweet and caring...perfect for 2-2 1/2 year olds! Austin really did great, the first day in the new room he said, "Bye mom" and off he went to play.

Things with Eric and I are good. We are trying to find solutions to the pick up and drop off of the boys now, that they are in two different schools and Jacob's riding the bus. Working full time and having two little ones has always been challenging, but it's become quiet an adventure most recently.

More to come...

Yesterday, my oldest son Jacob started school as a kindergartener and rode the bus all by himself! Becoming a mom has always been one of my proudest moments, but I have to say watching my five year old get on the bus for the first time was the proudest moment I've experienced up to this point! He was self confident and ready to meet this new challenge! Wow, I guess we did something right!
